Effective Teaching from USA Swimming:

  1. One thing at a time
  2. Break every move down into “chunks”
  3. Aim for perfecting one ‘chunk’ each practice
  4. Make your INTENT and OBJECTIVE absolutely clear
  5. “This is your focus, this is your goal”
  6. “When we do this, I want you to think about: x

Strong direct immediate feedback: That ties into the focus, the goal.

Avoid breaking bad habits, give new ones.
